First week of playoffs is in the books. Underdogs came to play this week. 12th, 10th, 9th, and 8th seed all pulling out the W in week 1. As for our game it starts out very tight with chances on both ends through out the first two periods but no one could find the back of the net. Demars came to play for playoffs (just the first game though) making all kinds of saves. In the 3rd the potato himself breaks the puck out of our zone to the most natural player to be leading the charge, our defensmen. Batts takes the puck from there and makes no mistake scoring the first goal. Next goal we have none other than our defense, Batts again, breaking it out of our zone and taking it the length of the ice to find Will the potato Aben in front for a one timer that almost didn't cross the goal line. Mustangs later get there only penalty of the game and the marauders capatilize quickily. 2-1 game with time running out marauders get there first penalty of the game. They are still able to get control of the puck in our zone and empty the net for 5 on 5 hockey but hero Batalucco finds the puck and flips it all the way down for an empty netter. He almost didn't come to the game and had to run out immediatly after. Glad he showed up. Thank you to Rich Lauth for subbing for us.
