Mustangs Game Write Up:

Game starts chaotic. I think it started a little early or Joe Z was a little late. We follow that up with an entire 1st period in the box but we come out of that okay. A high scoring affair for pool partners mustangs and galaxies. Mustangs generate the majority of offense through the defense from the point. Dany nets one and Batts puts two in. Demars as our sixth player out there made a lot of good plays all night/year but finally made one mistake passing to a his tired teamates costing a freebie goal. Will aben nets a top shelf goal and assists by blocking all goalie visibility all night. Robson also gets two assists playin from the back end for the first time this year. And joe Z has a huge night with 4 assists. He was involved in everything. Mustangs crush the league in penalty minutes served as well. Thanks to sub/drafted player crisi.

Galaxies Game Write Up:

Not a chippy affair, but still a fair amount of bloodshed in this battle for 9th place.  First Beaupre ate a stick and then Chapman took a hard spill on his elbow that split it open and ultimately forced him from the game.  At least he got his hat trick before exiting.

The big turning point of the game came not long after the Mustangs took the 2-1 lead early in the second. Schultzy did some sort of magic trick to find the back of the net and tie it up.  From there, it was a race to the finish with both teams finding ways to score.  In the end, the Galaxies won the race for a 7-5 victory.  We're #9! We're #9!

This regular season has been a long, tough road.  After starting out with a woeful 0-6 record and having all kinds of trouble scoring goals, we wound up going 9-5-3 the rest of the way and, for the most part, have found our scoring touch.  Even when things looked their bleakest, I have to hand it to the boys for keeping their heads up and coming to play every week.  Definitely feeling good as we go into the playoffs, but, as always, the FHL postseason will be an even tougher road.  Best of luck to all the teams!
