Mustangs Subs | 0 | 0 | 2 | 2 | 0 | 5 | 0 | 1 | 0 |
Mustangs field an abundance of missing players again. Elect to give demars some time outside of the pipes as he has requested since the first game. He did not dissapoint out there with one timers, getting called offsides without going offsides and the most confusing pass in hockey history resulting in a goal. The offsides call took away a 2 on 0 and a big chance in a tight game. Subs bradybough, schultz and player demars all talley an assist. Schultz even had a bonus assist for the other team. Strong bar presence from the stangs as we prepare to play the galaxies two more times at least. Does anyone know if there is a record for least games attended by a player that did not have to drop out? We may be in the running for this.

Diesels continue to play great down the stretch. Mustangs had a few guys out and even made a change in net to get DeMars out as a skater. Diesels were missing Riley and Brad, so they brought in Reigning Sniper Award Winner Chet. Diesels kicked things off with a short handed goal by Coach Deke after he joined a rush with Chet. Mustangs answer later in the 1st with a shorty themselves to tie it up. Next shift the Diesels charge back and Chet pops one in on a feed from Nico to get the lead back to the Diesels and about a minute left in the first period. Diesels continue to press and Nate puts all of his back yard rink sessions to good use and buries one before time expires. Diesels lead 3-1 headed to the second period and continue to play with all of the momentum. Jack creates a turnover early in the period and lights the lamp to give the Diesels the 3 goal lead early. Mustangs try to rally back with another goal right after, but the Diesels are too much this week as they get one more goal middle of the 3rd by Aaron and Jake stops everything else!
Next week the Diesels have a shot to crawl out of the basement for the important 11 seed.
