Galaxies Game Write Up:

Welp, we blew the 2-goal lead we had going into the third.  Yes, we know Rocco, it's the worst lead in hockey.  Thanks for the reminder.

The bolts opened the scoring in the first when the puck jumped over my blade at the blue line and I lost the race/battle for the puck.  Chapman tied up the game a couple minutes later when he broke free and got one past Cholette.  Rocco gave us the 2-1 lead less than 30 seconds later, when he intercepted Filar's pass to Barta and buried one from the slot.  Late in the period, Conner got called for a rather cheap penalty - just so stripes could hear himself over the PA, I reckon.

Chapman finished another breakaway in the second on a perfect feed from Barta up the middle.  That gave us the aforementioned 3-1 lead after two.  In the third stanza, I got burned for the t-bolts' second goal.  And then I got burned again on the game tying goal.  Luckily for the Galaxies, I managed to, as Tymczak put it, scorpion myself into the boards.  That put me out of commission for the remainder of the game, and so the bolts weren't able to score a game winner.

The highlight of the night. though, was, unquestionably, Filar bringing the Dancing Bear out of hibernation.  Not sure if it was the onlookers that brought it out of him, but it was truly mesmerizing watching him glide effortlessly through the Thunderbolts' meager attempts to rein him in.
