The Cobras are finally back in action after a long 3 weeks off, taking on the red hot Galaxies! Lots of back and forth for the first half of the game. Matty was able to break the ice early in the 2^nd period with a sneaky “goalie goal” from behind the goal line. The Galaxies responded quickly adding 2 of their own. We had lots of chances but couldn’t get anything going. Killer had an answer for everything we threw at him! Hoping to get back into our rhythm next week vs the Mariners.

Coming off extended holiday leave, the Galaxies were looking to run their point streak to 5 games against the high scoring Cobras. 

Fortunately, it looked like everyone took the off ice training program seriously over the break as the team came out with plenty of pep in their step.  Unfortunately, it didn't matter much, as we also spent plenty of time pinned down in our zone for the first half of the game and the Cobras took the 1-0 lead early in the 2nd.  That's all they got by Killer CaldWALL (credit: Deroche), though.  He was razor sharp all night.  That gave the Galaxies the chance to turn the tide and put up the next 4 goals.  The capper was a beautiful backdoor feed from sub Gates to Sauve who hammered it home for a great start to the new year!
