Coming off a 1-1 split with the Bullitts (and getting a week and a half off to recover from chasing them around) the Fiesta were looking to just play some competetive hockey and not let Russ see a lot of shots. From the start of the game you could see the Fiesta really came to party. We started the game moving our feet, moving the puck, and getting consistent shots on net. We find our way on the board first with a great tip by Sladich off a shot pass from Bazzy with just 2 seconds left in the first. 

Not too much long after though the Mariners end up capitalizing on a broken play and in the blink of an eye we're tied. Wouldn't our luck have it that the same type of broken play happened a few minutes later with the same result. Mariners up 2-1, but the Fiesta aren't ready to end the party just yet.

The third period was really great to see as we didn't give up and stuck to our gameplan. I manage to squeak one by Zach from the goal line off a great feed from Sladich, 2-2. Who says defenseman can't score 2 in a game? Not Sladich as he scores an on the ice missle, off a faceoff win in the Mariner's zone. Deep into the third, Mariners pull Zach and get some good pressure, but we manage to hold them off for a toughly contested W. 

We looked like our old selves last night and it was a great win with a solid team effort. Next up, Thunderbolts
