Suprising amount of goings on in this one for it to end in a ho-hum 3-3 tie.

Rocco put the Galaxies up 1-0 in the early part of a 5on3 about halfway through the first period.  That was a bit of a relief considering we've given up 2 shorties already this season.  Later in the 1st, the Edels threw the puck to the short side of the net and Killer went down to cover it.  Then he stayed down.  Meanwhile, the Edsels were adamant that the puck had crossed the line.  After calling it a no-goal, the refs went upstairs, to.... Dan Vincent?!?  As it turns out, Dan's parents instilled a higher sense of morality in at least one of their children.  But why did it have to be Dan??? Tied 1-1 after 1.

The Edsels managed to sneak one more past Killer in the 2nd before DeGagne was able to enter the game in relief.  2-2 after 2.

The Edsels took the lead in the 3rd on one hell of a lucky bounce before Curtis tied the game back up with an absolutely filthy snipe from the top of the circle for his second of the night.  The Galaxies ratcheted up the pressure late in the third.  Not sure if that had anything to do with it, but the game was delayed briefly with less than a minute to go because a goalie, who shall remain nameless for HIPAA purposes, had to exit to, let's say, catch his breath.  When play resumed, so did the Galaxies' offensive pressure, but we couldn't get anything past Krich.  3-3 after 3.

Our young speedsters have really been turning it on the past couple weeks.  Maybe it's the change of seasons.  Whatever it is, looking forward to seeing more of it.

Had a great time celebrating Killer's bday and playing music bingo at Trina's afterwards.  Hopefully he's ready to come back after our bye next week.
