The Cobras come into week 6 ready to face off against a strong Fiesta squad. With the zam on, I-94 traffic claims not only our goalie but also Vinny. Fortunately, Cannon makes in on the ice in time for warm-ups and super sub John Crisi is able to fill in for a couple shifts (Thanks John!). Vinny gets on the ice and uses his road rage to our advantage and tallies his 1^st and 2^nd goal of the year, both great shots from the slot.  

The 2^nd period was a consistent battle. A lot of back and forth with good saves coming from both ends. I was able to bury a breakaway with 4 seconds left in the period, giving us a 3-0 lead to take into the 3^rd.

Matty ice keeps his scoring streak alive, collecting a rebound on the side of the net. This guy has that killer instinct and always seems to be in the right place at the right time. He would go on to score again off a great feed from Jason on a 2 on 0. Cobras stay rock solid on defense. We did a great job in front of our net by clearing pucks and taking away passing lanes.  Anything that got through was shut down by Cannon. Very solid game and well-deserved shutout for Derrick.

Huge game from Vinny and Matty with 4 points a piece. Honorable mention to “I’m a defenseman now” Deroche, an absolute shutdown performance from Chris on the back end.
