Mustangs Game Write Up:

Tough start to the 5 O'clock game with every road in michigan under construction. Marauders jump out early to score first and second and third, maybe fourth and fifth too. Demars fights off multiple shots from multiple people around the net. Once the Mustangs got everyone settled in we started to apply some pressure and get some oppurtunities. Most everything was turned away by grashik except a coast to coast highlight reel by mustangs sub Rosen. Thanks to him and lauth for coming out. A great sign for the mustangs though is that they kept playing until the end, even while down by five. Bingo mic was successfully repaired by the mustangs rep but he still can't score, no matter how many chances or breakaways he gets.

Marauders Game Write Up:

Week 3 of the FHL season and the Raud Squad is looking to keep the good times rolling.

Rough start in the locker room as “bad boy” Dan Radomski forgets to pack his pants putting him in a peculiar situation. Luckily “Scary” Terry comes to the game over prepared with a set of roller pants that allows Dan to do his best Philadelphia Cooperalls impersonation. I was able to get a shot of Dan before the game, unfortunately the lighting wasn’t great:

Inspired by the pants the Raud Squad comes out flying and manage to net 3 goals in the first and Grashik manages to keep the Mustangs off the score sheet. ACO puts in the first two from Sope Daddy and the Cooperall man himself. Rauder Rep puts in the third off a nice pass from ACO.

“Uh Oh, Better Get” ACO completes the hat-trick halfway through the second off a pass from the Raud Rep. This gave ACO his third hat-trick in the first three games of the season. Shortly after, Rosen manages to get the Mustangs on the board by going end to end and putting a backhand shot bar-down. Former Marauder legend Bazzy wasn’t going to stand for that and gets one back in short order from rookie Halloran. Not fully satisfied, Bazzy goes down again and feeds Scary Terry for his first goal of the season to finish the second at 6-1 Raud Squad. Great game Baz, thanks for subbing!

The third is a whole lot of nothing as both teams just run out the clock in hopes of getting to the bar sooner.

Three quick notes:

  1. Both Radmoski boys managed to end up in the box today, sending the entire FHL into shock and surprise. Dan gets the POG, not only for his fantastic play but also for his fantastic fashion display.
  2. ACO off to a blazing hot start to the season.
  3. Missed a shoutout last week to rookie Halloran for getting his first FHL goal of his career.  

    a.        Great FHL turnout at the bar. Music BINGO was pretty fun. Rosen is a freaking savant when it comes to 2000s hits.

    b.       Huge game next week against the Fiesta, hopefully we can keep the good times rolling.
