Coming off a win, the Cobras stay hot and start the night with a nice tic-tac-toe finished off by rook Matty. Less than a minute later Deroche finds the back of the net in the same fashion as the first goal, back hand-five hole. I think we should have continued to use the backhand sorcery because anything else we threw at De Gagne was turned away. This guy turned into Andrei Vasilevskiy making back to back to back huge saves.

As the game goes on both teams trade rushes up and down the ice, eventually the stars battle back and we play a 2-2 tie game for most of the 2^nd and half the 3^rd. The more we peppered De Gagne the better he became, making 2 huge saves late in the third when we were down 3-2. The Aerostars took their goalie’s confidence and buried us with 3 more goals coming in the last couple minutes of the game.

The Cobras look to bounce back next week in the 1^st rookie REP matchup - Cobras v Mustangs!

Aerostars tick off their first win off the season in week 2 and look to start a winning streak with our week 3 tilt against Rookie Rep (kind of) Bradybaugh.  Cobras come in hot off their first win and will surely look to start a winning streak. 

First period both teams get some good opportunities Cobras break through midway through the first when we get caught on defense and they take advantage of a 3 on 1.  Bras strike again 45 seconds later and the game is 2-0. 

Panic mode activated...... 

Thankfully the boys didn't panic and Rod cruises down the boards beats their D and lifts one up and under the crossbar as he skates through Cannon's crease.  2-1.  2nd period both teams have some good opportunities but we're able to pull even 2-2. Third period is all Aerostars.  Chet breaks the tie with a sweet play by Easton off the face-off.  I went back and watched the Livebarn feed post-game and right before the face-off Easton pulled Chet aside and called the annexation of Puerto Rico.  Easton drives the puck forward right off the face-off and dishes it weak side to Chet who to quote Chet "Had to act like a bubble hockey player." Just put the stick out and let it go in.  Rod strikes again with his 2nd of the game. Easton collects his 2nd and not to be outdone Chet gets his 2nd with about 15 seconds left.  

Hell of a game from the boys with 6 unanswered goals. Big-time game by Frenchie who after giving up the first two turned into a brick wall.  Easton, Chet, and Rod all have two-goal games, but this is a full-team win.  Great fight from the boys coming back when we were down.  The vans are rolling.
