After a loss in the season opener the Mariners look to get things on track against Big Jay's Bullitts. Not much scoring in the first  as Zach and sun goalie Kirch shut the doors until late in the first the puck comes to me in traffic in the slot and I give it a whack between some legs and somehow the puck ends up in the net. Not my prettiest goal but they all count the same. More scoreless hockey in the second as the goalies were both playing well. With about 5 mins left the younger Pearson one touches one to me at center and I make up for the ugly first goal with a nifty little toe drag through two Bullitts and tuck it in for the 2-0 lead. More of the same in the 3rd as this was a pretty tightly contested game the whole way. Off an offensive zone face off the puck made it it's way back to FHL newcomer Steve Harris who put a great low shot on net which I managed to tip in for the hat trick and 3-0 lead. That's how the game would end despite our best efforts to ruin Zach's shut out late in the third. Great game by both teams.
