Mariners Game Write Up:

With captain Brett DTD the Mariners call up McCaig for this one.  Still looking for that magic line combination they mix it up again. 

 Lines seem to work. Upplegger makes a good play at the line to find Rhett at the far boards and a weird angle shot makes its way in for a 1-0 lead.  

The Broncos answer less than a minute later though with Gret.

Goalie Chef plays the puck to Luebke who finds a streaking Rhett for 2-1. Always love to see the goalie assists but the lead lasts about 20 seconds before Middleton ties it up.  Gret would walk through 3 Mariners 1 at a time to get his second goal. 3-2 Broncos after 1.

The second period is kind of a blur. It ends with the Mariners down 5-2  after goals from middleton and JC and they go to the bingo balls again to switch up the lines.

Broncos get one more from Deluca before Rod makes a nifty backhand over to Jones in the slot who makes no mistake and goes bar down.  

Too little too late, game ends 6-3.  Permanent sub Goalie Hajek played well making lots of timely saves.

With only 4 games left the Mariners are running out of line combinations to try. Thanks Matt for subbing.

Broncos Game Write Up:

Broncos prepare for their 2nd game of the week. After a hard fought tie on Monday against the Galaxies, we wanted to come into this game and get back to our winning ways. The Mariners came in with McCaig subbing for Brett and came out early with the 1-0 lead. Broncos kick their way back and tie it 1-1 with a beauty from Gret! After another goal by the Mariners to go up 2-1, the Broncos step on the gas and never look back and score 5 unasnwered goals to go up 6-2 and eventually grab the win 6-3. Great game by Gret who ended the game with 2 goals and 2 assists. Thanks to subs Kalinski and Easton who were subbing for myself and Rocco. Broncos get ready for the Edsels on Monday and look to continue our rise in the FHL standings!
