Diesels Game Write Up:

Battle of the new threads as both sides show off the new sublimated jerseys.  Diesels had a great start and even had the lead 3-1 late in the second after Dereck "Miller Time" netted his first FHL goal and boy was it a beauty with a sweet play in front to put her top shelf where momma keeps the peanut butter!  It was so good the Diesels  thought the game ended and quickly gave up 3 goals before the second ended. Down 4-3 to start the third , the Diesels couldn't get anything by Krichiver to get the momentum back. Mauraders get the little insurance goal 4 minutes in and that would be enough to claim the victory even after Deroche netted 1 more. Couple more goals from the Mauraders including an empty netter to seal the deal 7-4. Thanks to our subs, Cowart and Shane!

Marauders Game Write Up:

The mighty Raud Squad look to make it 10 in a row against the new look Diesels. 
 
Not our best performance, but good teams find a way to win. We managed to out score the Diesels, but that might be the only area where we beat them. 
 
Rookie Phenom Pearson put up four goals with the new twig. Baz, Timmy, and JT, each chipped in with one. Huge thanks to Krichiver and Uplegger for subbing after their games, Both played great and kept us in the game. On to the rematch we have been waiting weeks for against the T-Bolts.
 
3 quick notes:
  1. Big Timmy takes home the can-up kitty at $80 for nailing his can dismount. Nice little surprise for the holidays. Maybe a down payment on a new twig.
  2. Birthday Boy Baz got a nice little birthday gift from the Diesels with the empty netter. 
  3. Love the new jerseys and love Kundinger's idea to put the iconic Penguin numbers on his jerseys. I forgot how many iconic numbers that team has. I just wish I could think of one iconic number from the Islander franchise. Does anyone know what number Denis Potvin wore?
