Aerostars Game Write Up:

Aerostars riding high into week 12. Looking to pick up a 5th straight win. 

We know we are playing a good team in the 1st place Marauders so it will not be an easy task.  First period game plays to a 0-0 tie until Rauds break through with 45 seconds left.  2nd period was back and forth with both teams trading goals but the Marauders strike again late in the 2nd to take a 2 up lead.  We fight back in the 3rd but we take too many risks resulting in the Rauds pulling away.  7-4. 

Game was closer than the score shows.  We made some mistakes late in the game chasing and that's never a recipe for success.  Felt like we out played them in the first but Brendan and the Marauders D stonewalled us.  Credit to the Marauders they are a tough team to play against.  We'll see them again come playoff time. 

Schedule doesn't get any easier as we find ourselves taking on the TBolts in week 13....hopefully its not a repeat of last time.

Three quick notes:
 
  1. Huge thanks to Blatt for subbing in for Spurlin. Nice goal and great game.
  2. Bazzy gets the POG for working his butt off and getting the Hat Trick. At least I think it was a hat trick, I still need to check the live barn.
  3. Game was tighter than the score indicates. Aerostars are a great team with a ton of firepower. Couldn't really pull away until later in the third.
