Diesels meet the Mavericks in a week 9 match up needing a win

Bad mojo from the start as a key water bottle is stolen by the Thunderbolts and results in head shot from little Caldwell, 5 hole goal from Bradybaugh (I think) and a cheap point leaker result in a quick 2-0 hole.

Diesels quickly rebound and put pressure on the Mavs and Russ but the opposition holds the Diesels scoreless.

Second period is much of the same as the Diesels pressure but can’t score. Finally late in the second DeRoche finds the net on feed from Sharlow and Curtis Clark. 2-1

Third period is the same as the teams battle back and forth. Russ keeps his team in with some fine goaltending. Late in the second the Diesels tie it up with a nice tip goal by Rose  from Clark and Sparks.

The Diesels pressure but can’t get the lead. Unfortunately the Mavs pressure late and get a pass into the slot and the bury the rebound to take the lead and the game late.

Tough loss for the D, we look to rebound against the Aerostars.

Mavericks pick up their 3rd win in a row!

Russ plays another outstanding game keeping the Diesels from scoring for the majority of the game.  

Bradybaugh and Grifka provide goals for the Mavericks.

Mavs head into the by week, hoping to return to keep the win streak rolling against the Edsels.
