Week Seven of the FHL season and the Marauders set their sails towards the Galaxies.

I’ll keep this one brief and sum it up in three quick notes:

1.       Big Daddy Bazzy’s Game Notes: “Best team win of the season. Kept players wide and got the pucks out without hesitation and with some conviction. Number 17 was skating very well (Spur Baby!). Caldwell played another outstanding game.” Couldn’t agree with Jim more! Our most complete game yet. Everyone contributed in some way today and very little mistakes.

2.       POG honors go to Caldwell for the clean sheet and playing a phenomenal game. He was a wall, a solid steel “Bulkhead.” In true leadership fashion, Caldwell passes on POG honors to Spurlin who played a great game as well and scored the game winning goal. Spurlin did his best Orr impression by going horizontal with the ice and putting in a rebound. Jack “of all trades” was a close bronze medal as he extended his scoring streak.

3.       Great night overall. Huge turnout at the bar after the game. Great showing FHL!

a.       Side Note: Soper to the short-term IR with a hip pointer. He is a hockey player though, still played in the game after sustaining a tough injury.

On to Thursday night hockey against the red hot Edsels. It will be karaoke night at Trina’s, so I hope all you FHLers have already picked out a song.
