Wow! What a game! The Bullitts come into the week facing the red hot Fiestas. And it didn't take long for the Fiestas to take the lead. 44 seconds in, McCaig gives Gorski a nice feed on a 2 on 1 and he buries it. But less than a minute later, good old reliable Aco gets the tying goal. Then, about a minute later, the Fiestas have a mix up in their offensive zone that leads to a 2 on 0 for Lubig and Scary Terry Johnson. This 2 on 0 was...not textbook. But it worked, and Scary Terry buries the goal to take the lead. With about 2 minutes left in the period, though, the Fiestas come back and tie it up to take us into the second period.
Let's just say that the penalty calls during this game were...iffy. But the Fiestas capitalize on a power play with Hinkle scoring a nice goal. Then, there's about 4 minutes of back and forth action, with both goalies keeping their team in it. Then, with 4 minutes left, the Fiestas score another goal, and go up by 2. But we all know Aco never stops, and 30 seconds later he gets one back to get us back to within 1 into the 3rd.
The 3rd period was some crazy action back and forth, with nobody scoring with a minute left. Still down a goal, we pull Demars for the extra attacker on an offensive face off. It works, and DJ Dustin Jones finishes the chaos with a goal to tie it up with 40 seconds left! We hold on with the next 30 seconds of onslaught from the Fiestas, and finish the game tied up. Great game to watch. I would know, since I watched from the sidelines. Thanks to Dave Maclean for subbing in for me.
Player of the game is Demars. He made some crazy saves and withstood some heavy pressure from a couple of the best shooters in the league. Great job Demars!

What an absolute battle this game was. Incredible effort by both teams and possibly the biggest hit I've seen since college. This back and forth battle was a great game to be a part of. With the Bullitts edging out a tie with seconds left on the clock, the Fiesta remain undefeated. I couldn't get Cam's hit on Gorski to upload here, I'll work on it to see if we can get it in here next week.
