Aerostars roll into week 4 off our first win of the season looking to make it two in a row and get the record back to .500. This week we take on a hungry Mavericks team looking to get a win of their own after two straight Ls. We know its going to be a tough test with the man they call Russpresso in net. The message is come out fast, put some pressure on them, shots on and crash the net. "Get the greasy goal."
No subs this week so we got our first look at an as drafted (minus Ron) team. Let's just say it didn't disappoint. We could call this game the Alex Wypych show as he was playing like a man possessed. Apparently, Alex was not happy to miss the last game nor see that his replacement did well, he called his shot before the game and said 5 point night. Vic was seen placing a bet with Draftkings on the over for Wypych as the O/U was set at 2.5. To put it simple Alex had 3 points in the first 6 minutes of the game and we blaze out to a 4-0 lead. Mavericks get one back late in the first on a poor play by the rep...shooting into shin pads never works out when you're the last man back. We finish the rest of the game at a 3-1 margin and win 7-2.
What a performance by the team on a tough goalie, everyone played well. We look like a new team after our embarassment just two weeks earlier. Hell of a job by the VAR line (Vic, Alex and Rob) putting up 4g and 7a. Alex hit his prediction of 5pts and Vic cashed out on his bet.
