Aerostars Game Write Up:

Still shaken from last weeks beating at the hands of the Tbolts, we timidly enter week 3 vs the Broncos.  Honestly haven't taken a beating like that since sunday school.  

Back to week 3 versus the new look Broncos and game 1 of this seasons battle of the Quattrins.  Aerostars looking for that first W couldn't come out like last game...coaches message is start fast and keep the pressure on them all game.  Early on both teams get opportunites and we get a bit of a gift when Zach comes out to play the puck but is unable to clear the puck from Austin and sub Upplegger, Upps burys the puck on the empty net.  We trade goals next to lead 2-1 after the first.  Felt like a step in the right direction winning the period.  In the second, message is continue to do what we are doing and I think the message clicked in about 30 seconds after that as Muzzy rips through us like tissue paper off the puck drop.  Thankfully we rally from the 2-2 tie  and drop 4 more in the 2nd.  Third period we trade goals and the game ends 7-3.  

We get the first W and make up for the poor performance last week.  Good effort from the boys, you can see the legs are coming back.  

Few observations from this week...

1. Chet subbed for us...guy is a pure goal scorer.  I sense a rerate coming.  
2. Vic takes the battle of the Quattrins 1-0
3. Aerostars can consume some beverages....our 3 game total (just at the rink): 124...we'll track this throughout the season 

We move onto week 4 and the Mavericks, looking to extend our win streak to 2.

Broncos Game Write Up:

Broncos coming off a 2nd week loss turn to McCaig to sub Middleton as he continues his European exploration. I found out I will be missing some time due to a fractured ankle and got Easton to sub on defense for us. After a 2-1 first, Jc ties up the game early into the 2nd only for the Aerostars to drop 4 in a rown on us. After that, the Broncos tighten up a little bit but end up with a second straight loss losing 7-3. I think maybe the beating they witnessed last week had them coming into the game unfocused, but either way, we move onto Brett and the Mariners for Week 4.
