Not the start to the season the edsels were looking for, but it was a good effort. A couple bad bounces led to some key goals for the galaxies, but the edsels hung in there the entire time.

Game was 1-1 until the 3rd period, then it went off the rails with both teams getting multiple goals and mistakes .. and tripping penalties that never happened, which everyone was cool with.  Must have been a great summer because everyone is out of shape (except Kalinski).

We are a ragtag bunch of misfits .. but Mike sees something in us.  If our season goes like our first game, then we are all in for wild ride.  It’s going to start off slow, kind of boring … sort of like you're winning and losing at the same time.  Then you start sweating .. then it’s pure chaos, especially at the end.  That pretty much sums up our game (and possibly our season), so buckle up because there will be a big reveal at the end you didn’t see coming.

The following is a word-for-word transcript of what some people are saying they heard from the Edsels locker room after the game:  ……..…… It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.  You guys gave it your best out there, and I’m proud of you.  Remember … and I want you to believe this … there’s always tomorrow.  It’s ok to let the sad out.  Now who needs a hug?
